Vision Walks Eco Tours connects you with the wildlife, landscapes and local stories of Byron Bay and the Hinterland. Our small-group tours are led by passionate local guides with backgrounds in environmental science and/or Indigenous culture, bringing expert knowledge and a deeper connection to every experience.

From wildlife encounters to rainforest walks and cultural experiences, our tours are designed to take you beyond the usual visitor experience and reveal the region through local eyes.

We are a multi-award-winning ecotourism business, accredited with Advanced Ecotourism, Respecting Our Culture (ROC) and Climate Action Business certification — the only tourism operator in the Byron Bay region to hold this combination of accreditations. Gidjuum Gulganyi Walk: 4 days, 3 nights

Journey through 48km of breathtaking landscapes: sclerophyll forests, lush rainforests, waterfalls and panoramic lookouts.

We have three ways you can enjoy this Great Walk:  
‍
Self Guided Hike Shuttle Service: we will take you to the trail head at Unicorn Falls and pick you up 4 days later at Minyon Falls. You carry your own gear.
Self Guided Pack Free: you walk independently, with a day pack. We set up each camp for you and supply fresh food.
Guided Glamping Experience: carry only  a day pack, our Environmental Scientist will guide you and tell you all about what you are seeing. Arrive to a fully set up camp, with large tents (you can stand up in), comfy beds, hot showers, chef prepared meals, local beer & wine.

What an amazing day with Tom on the wildlife safari. We saw pademelons, koalas, kangaroos, wallabies and flying foxes. We also had a yummy picnic lunch by the River. Tom was super accommodating to our family as two of our children had mobility issues and we all got to see the beautiful wildlife regardless of ability. Tom was super knowledgeable, friendly and patient with our large family. It was truly a day to remember. Highly recommended!

An amazing morning looking for platypus. Wendy was so friendly and knowledgeable and obviously passionate about these gorgeous little animals and the areas of nature around her home. We went on a nice little walk and searched for a while before getting to see two platypus in different sections of the waterway, swimming and foraging for food. So awesome to see them in the wild, even as only local tourists from further south in NSW. It's something we have never experienced and was a life goal and trip highlight for sure. Would definitely recommend this tour.
