Do you want a tree planting with that?

When you come on a Vision Walks tour, you’re not just spotting koalas, wandering rainforest tracks, or cruising the hinterland with a bunch of fellow nature lovers. You’re also helping us put trees back where they belong — in the ground, growing like mad, feeding wildlife, and locking away carbon.

Tree planting is one of the simplest, most practical ways to back up the “eco” in ecotourism. Not just talk it. Actually do it.

Why we do it (and why it matters)

Northern NSW has copped a hiding — land clearing, fragmentation, fires, floods… the full emotional rollercoaster. And when habitat disappears, wildlife doesn’t just “move somewhere else” like they’re casually relocating for better coffee. They lose food, shelter, corridors, and safety.

So we plant trees to:

  • restore habitat (especially for koalas and other native wildlife)
  • reconnect bushland corridors
  • support local conservation legends doing the hard yards
  • and yes — sequester carbon while we’re at it

Tree planting days: come along!

If you’ve ever wanted to be part of something genuinely positive (and get a little muddy in the process), these are for you. The current dates are below. We will add more, when we know when they announced.

Date Location Number of Trees Organisation
14 March Cokaki 1000 Bangalow Koalas
17 March Byron Bay 1120 Bangalow Koalas
More dates to come

And here’s the important bit:

Places on tree planting days need to be booked
These events have limited spots, and we don’t want anyone rocking up only to be told “sorry mate, we’ve got enough tree planters today.”

So let us know if you want in.

Free ride from Byron (yep, free)

If you book your place with us, we’ll pick you up from Byron Bay and give you a lift to the planting site — free of charge. We try and fit them in with a tour that's happening on that day.

All you need to do is:

  1. Book your spot with us by emailing info@visionwalks.com
  2. Turn up ready for a feel-good day in nature
  3. Plant trees like a legend

What to expect on the day

Tree planting days are a mix of:

  • fresh air
  • community energy
  • a bit of sweat (the good kind)
  • and that smug, satisfied feeling you get when you’ve helped repair the planet instead of just scrolling past climate news in despair

We’ll share the details when you book — what to bring, where we meet in Byron, timing,
